The right façade technology is crucial

Anyone who owns, is renovating or is building a property in the Balearic Islands knows that the façade is constantly exposed to extreme conditions. The intense Mediterranean sun in summer, the high humidity in winter and the salty sea air take
their toll on the exterior walls.

For us at RM BALEARES, one thing is certain: top-class craftsmanship only works with the right materials. That is why, on our current project (see picture), we are leaving nothing to chance.

In use right on the building site: For the exterior render, we are currently using MORCEMCRIL from Grupo Puma (easily recognisable by the pink bucket on our scaffolding).

This is a highly elastic, acrylic facade mortar. Why did we choose this particular product?

• High flexibility: The material perfectly absorbs stresses in the wall and prevents cracking, a crucial factor given the extreme temperature fluctuations on the islands.
• Weather-resistant: It provides long-term protection for the building fabric against moisture and UV radiation.
• Long-lasting aesthetics: The façade retains its clean, modern texture and colour for years to come.

Good materials are half the battle; the other half is professional workmanship. In the photo, you can see our team hard at work creating a uniform texture on the surface. Every movement has to be precise to ensure the end result looks completely uniform and
clean.
